Discover the World Secures ECOsmart Certification

Discover the World Global has become the first global sales and representation organisation of its type to secure Greengage’s ECOsmart certification.

ECOsmart was developed by Greengage as a certification programme specifically for the business travel and hospitality sectors including TMCs, hotels and venues.  Discover the World Global’s award marks an extension of the sectors that can use ECOsmart to help achieve their sustainability goals.

To achieve the accreditation a 5 strong Champions team worked closely with the Greengage team over a period of 6 months.  The Champions were tasked with promoting sustainability internally to drive awareness across Discover the World’s entire global team. 

The ECOsmart process served to create a road map for Discover the World Global to further improve its sustainability and CSR credentials with future initiatives planned throughout 2025 including measuring the UK and European operations' carbon footprint and training for the client facing sales teams.

“Unlike hotels and meeting venues, we have a very small office footprint in shared office providers selected for their strong sustainability credentials.  Our workforce is largely home based so Greengage adapted the ECOsmart parameters to fit our operations.
