Discover the World is a travel related services company with global operations in over sixty countries. We provide sales, marketing services, business process outsourcing, and risk management for our global clients and partners. Our business operates in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and we strive to uphold the highest ethical standards in all our activities.
Through our global office network partnerships and our hybrid working policies Discover the World or our contractors employ over six hundred sales and marketing professionals. Headquartered in the USA and the UK, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and human rights.
This policy applies to all employees, network partners, contractors and suppliers, of Discover the globally. It covers all aspects of our operations and supply chains.
Definitions
The Organisation considers that modern slavery encompasses:
- human trafficking
- forced work, through mental or physical threat
- being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse
- being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property
- being physically constrained or to have restriction placed on freedom of movement.
Commitment
We recognise our responsibility to combat modern slavery in all its forms and are dedicated to ensuring that our business operations and supply chains are free from such practices.
The Organisation acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The Organisation understands that this requires an ongoing review of both its internal practices in relation to its work force and, additionally, its supply chains.
The Organisation does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
No labour provided to the Organisation in the pursuance of the provision of its own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. The Organisation strictly adheres to the minimum standards required in relation to its responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in all countries of operation.
Supply chains
In order to fulfil our activities, the main supply chains of the organisation include those related to providing office accommodation, office supplies, I.T. related equipment and phone systems, I.T. related products, SaaS products, financial and managed services.
Potential exposure
Discover the World considers its exposure to slavery/human trafficking to be very limited and has taken steps to ensure that such practices do not take place in its business, and we expect our suppliers and business partners to adhere to the same high standards and to implement similar policies within their own operations.
